Sheriff: No Evidence White Earth Shooting was a Drive-By

UPDATE: New information on a shooting on the White Earth Indian Reservation. The Becker County Sheriff's office is telling us the call originally came in as a drive-by shooting in the east projects of White Earth, police have no evidence to substantiate that claim. They say the victim accidentally shot himself in the leg.

He's identified as 28-year-old Kristopher Lee Villebrun, who was airlifted to a Fargo hospital after the shooting around 8:30 Thursday night.

ORIGINAL STORY: One person was Lifeflighted to a Fargo hospital after a shooting on the White Earth Indian Reservation in northwest Minnesota Thursday night.

The Becker County Sheriff's office says only one person was hurt, and there is not a public safety concern.

More details are expected to be released later today.
