Ojibwe Language and Culture Camp held in Ponemah

A three-day Ojibwe Language and Culture Camp began on Tuesday, August 13, 2013, and will conclude on Thursday, August 15, 2013 at the Ponemah Round House.

Open to kids ages 10-14, the camp began at 9 AM and ran until 6 PM each day.

The camp featured, canoeing, Ojibwe Bingo, scavenger hunts, plant identification, tobacco pouch making, traditional Anishinaabe teachings and more.

The event is hosted by Red Lake Chemical Health, Economic Development & Planning and The Red Lake Nation Boys & Girls Club.
