Everette Crowe Sr.

Everette Loren Crowe Sr., age 50, of Fort Thompson, South Dakota and formerly of Yankton Journeyed home to the Spirit World ending his lengthy battle with cancer on Sunday, August 4, 2013 at Queen of Peace Hospital in Mitchell, South Dakota surrounded by his loving family.

He was born in Yankton, South Dakota on January 3, 1963 to Louis and Alberta (Jones) Crowe Sr.

He attended Yankton Public School, The Bishop Hare School and Crow Creek High School. He finished his schooling at Kicking Horse Job Corp in Missoula, Montana.

After completing his education, he enlisted and served The National Guard for a four year service.

He was formerly employed at The U.S. Carpentry Components in Tucson, Arizona.

Everette loved to coon and deer hunt in his younger years. He also liked to try his luck at the casinos. He loved to watch and play with his grandchildren.

Grateful for sharing his life are his children: Robert Crowe, Lauren Crowe and Everette Crowe Jr. all of Lake Andes; six grandchildren; siblings: Virgil (Deloris) Crowe of Fort Thompson, South Dakota, Kathy (Pete) Crowe-White Buffalo Chief of Sioux Falls, South Dakota, James Crowe of Vermillion, South Dakota and Alan Crowe, Waunita (Paul) Denney and Louis Crowe Jr. all of Yankton, South Dakota; stepchildren who he loved as much as his own: Joy Milk, Sonny (Arthur Jr.) and Steve all of Yankton, South Dakota and Kathy Milk-Shuckahosee and Christina (Dee) BlackCloud of Tama, Iowa; many nieces, nephews who were all very special to him; his special companion: Angel.

Preceded in death by his father: Louis Crowe Sr., his mother: Alberta Crowe, two sisters: Becky & Candace and by a nephew: Ira.

He will always be loved and missed by all. We will always have our precious memories of our father, brother, uncle and grandpa.

Funeral services for Everette Crowe Sr. will be held on Saturday, August 10, 2013 at 2:00 P.M. at Diamond Willow Ministry in Fort Thompson. Mother Liz Powers and Pastor Rod Vaughn will officiate.

Interment will follow at Crow Creek Presbyterian Cemetery.

All night wake will be held on Friday, August 9th beginning at 7:30 P.M.

Casket Bearers will be Steve BlackCloud, Arthur “Sonny” BlackCloud, Kyle Kirkie, Eric HisLaw, Doug Rencountre, Robert Crowe, Everette Crowe Jr. and Pete White Buffalo Chief.

The Chilson Funeral Home in Winsted, Minnesota is serving the family.
