UPDATE - FATAL HIT AND RUN

08/01/2013 - The Beltrami County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a fatal hit and run reported at 4:24 am on 07/31/2013 on Grange Road NW just east of Nature Road which took the life of Christopher Lee Strong, 25 of Bemidji, MN.

Based on evidence located at the scene, Investigators are seeking information from anyone with knowledge of a Chevrolet Monte Carlo red in color with damage to the front end of the car. The color swatch below represents the color of the vehicle being sought.

The Sheriff's Office is being assisted by the Minnesota State Patrol, MN Bureau of Criminal Apprehension, Red Lake Tribal Police, Leech Lake Tribal Police and the Ramsey County Medical Examiner's Office.

The Sheriff’s Office is asking the public’s help in identifying the vehicle and driver involved in this hit and run.
