Four-Day Run in Celebration of Sobriety and Health

Begins at Red Lake, Ends at Fond du Lac

The annual four day run for sobriety and health will begin at Red Lake Chemical Health Programs at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, July 31, and finish at the Mash-ka-wisen pow-wow grounds at Fon du Lac on Saturday, August 3.

The runners will be coming down Highway #89 starting about 10:30 AM, coming across Highway 2, through the City of Bemidji on Paul Bunyan Drive, and then when through the city heading east toward Leech Lake on the Old Cass Lake Highway aka Roosevelt Road.

All runners are encouraged and welcome to participate in any and all of the run. Join up at any time. If not, hope you can meet them along their long journey to cheer them on.

July 31 to August 3, 2012

Children under 16 must be accompanied by Parents or Adults (no exceptions).

Bring your own tent and sleeping bag. Meals will be provided.

Day One

10:00 a.m. - Opening ceremony and smudging of Staffs. (Chemical Health Program Red Lake) 10:30 a.m. - Depart for Leech Lake Veterans Memorial Grounds

5:00 p.m. - Arrive at Leech Lake Pow-wow Grounds for feast, and camping

DayTwo

10:00 a.m. - Depart Leech Lake for Grand Rapids Camp Grounds

3:00 p.m. - Arrive at Grand Rapids for picnic, and Camping

Day Three

10:00 a.m. - Depart Grand Rapids and end at Floodwood Minnesota

5:00 p.m. - Arrive at floodwood, and return to Grand Rapids Camp Grounds

Day Four

9:00 a.m. - Depart Floodwood for Fond du Lac. Arrive at the Mash-ka-wisen pow-wow grounds around Grand Entry for the start of the 35th Annual Celebration of Sobriety.
