Byron James Lussier Sr.

Byron James Lussier Sr., age 50 was called to his eternal home on Thursday, July 4, 2013.

He was born on August 20th, 1962 to Albert “Biddy” & Rose Marie “Goose” Lussier in Chicago, Illinois.

He worked as a contractor for many years and had to retire due to health issues. He was an avid outdoorsman. Fishing, hunting, tinkering around with metal scrap and playing pool were some of his favorite things he like to do. Family was his main priority. He loved his children and grandchildren very much. He was always there for his nieces and nephews. He was also an excellent boxer in his younger years.

Byron was a very caring and loving person. He recently became a father again and he was very proud of his baby son Byron.

Survived by his children: Byron 7 months old, Kayla, Renee (David) and Christopher (Rhonda); siblings: Alberta (Ole), Roland (Linda), Darwin (Gail) and Cindy; step children: David, Michael, and Rosie Barrett; 5 Grandchildren; and many other relatives and friends.

Preceded in death by his father: Albert Sr., his mother: Rose Marie, brothers: Albert Jr. and Vernon and by an infant son: Byron Jr.

A Mass of Christian Burial for Byron James Lussier Sr. will be held on Friday, July 12th at 3:00 P.M. at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Red Lake. Father Jerry Rogers will be the Celebrant. (The time was changed from 1 PM to 3 PM)

Interment will follow at St. Mary’s Cemetery in Red Lake.

All night wakes will be held on Wednesday, July 10th and Thursday, July 11th at The Red Lake Community Center in Red Lake beginning at 1:00 P.M.

Honorary Casket Bearers will be Jeff Dahlen, Leo Beaulieu, Arlen Jourdain Jr., Charlotte Tarnow, Myron Jones, Neil Lussier, Douglas Colhoff, Becky Barrett and his nieces and nephews.

Casket Bearers will be Tyrone Schoenborn, Rodney Spears Sr., Chauncey Morris, Charlie Reynolds, Duane “O.J.” Spears Jr., Roland Lussier Jr., Donnie Lussier and John Morris Jr.
