Children gather to learn about traditional gardening during the 2012 Chickasaw Cultural Center Children’s Festival. The 2013 Children’s Festival is set July 6.
The Chickasaw Cultural Center will host the third annual Children’s Festival from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., Saturday, July 6.
This kid-friendly special celebration will feature traditional children’s games, arts and crafts, a children’s movie and other fun activities.
Living history performers will re-enact Chickasaw life in the 1750s in the traditional “living village” and the whole family can participate in interactive activities including stick ball, language demonstrations, storytelling and gardening demonstrations.
Children will also receive a special gift while quantities last.
