Workshop Descriptions

Customer Service - The Customer Service course covers the basics of customer service.

Participants will:

 Learn how to build and maintain their customer base.

 Be able to define “Superior Service”.

 Learn Effective Communication Skills.

 Learn how to manage their professional image.

 Learn techniques in telephone usage/netiquette

 Learn techniques on handling customer complaints.

 Learn how to deal with difficult and diverse customers.

Participants will receive a CEU from BSU/NTCMN and a certificate of completion.

Computer Basics - The Computer Basics course covers the basics of Window 7/XP, Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel.

Participants will:

 Become familiar with the features of Windows XP/7.

 Learn how to use the most common features of Microsoft Word.

 Learn how to use the most common features of Microsoft Excel.

Participants will receive a CEU from BSU/NTCMN and a certificate of completion.

Generations in the Workplace and Workplace Coaching for Supervisors

Generations in the Workplace” is a course designed to help participants to better understand themselves and others in the workplace. This new understanding will help them work more effectively with people from all four generations.

Participants will discuss the following topics:

 Understanding Myself

 What makes me think & act how I do?

 Analysis of the four defined generations

 What generation am I?

 Understanding Others

 Generational-based communications

 Generations and team building

 Generations and employee retention

Participants will receive a CEU from BSU/NTCMN and a certificate of completion.

Financial Literacy

The course is designed to help Native communities and their citizens adapt their traditional skills to the wise management for financial resources.

Participants will:

 Learn about building a healthy economy.

 Develop a spending plan.

 Learn how to work with checking and savings account.

 Learn about understanding credit and their credit report.

 Learn about accessing credit.
