Melanie Marie Kingbird, 39, of Red Lake, Minnesota, died Saturday, June 15, 2013 at St. Luke's Hospital in Duluth, Minnesota.

Traditional Indian Services will be held on Thursday, June 20, 2013, at the Redby Community Center in Redby, Minnesota with her brother, Spiritual Leader Lawrence Kingbird, officiating. A wake will begin at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, June 17, 2013 at the Redby Community Center and will continue until the service. Burial will be in family burial grounds in Ponemah, Minnesota.
