Robbin Roberts

Robbin Roberts “Thunder in the Wind”, 54, of Red Lake, Minnesota died Wednesday, June 5, 2013 at the Sanford Hospital in Fargo, North Dakota.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00pm, Saturday, June 15, 2013 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Red Lake with Fr. Jerry Rogers officiating. A wake will begin at 1:00pm, Thursday, June 13, 2013 at the Little Rock Community Center in Red Lake and continue until the time of service. Interment will be at the St. Mary’s Catholic Cemetery under the direction of the Cease Family Funeral Home of Bemidji.

He was born on January 20, 1959, in Los Angeles, CA, the son of Frederick Sr. and Mary Ruth (Russell) Roberts. As a young child his family moved to Minneapolis where he grew up. He moved around the United States during his life, living in California, Idaho, New Mexico, Minnesota, and Kansas. He attended college in Kansas, and later worked as a carpenter and in the construction industry. He enjoyed making artwork, wood carving, attending pow-wows, and listening to pow-wow music.

He is survived by his Children, Cathleen Roberts, Brandon Roberts, Mother, Mary Ruth Roberts, Brothers, Michael Smith, Anthony Smith, Gerald Roberts, Sisters, Janice Yazzie Smith Kramer, Karen Jane Smith, Darlene Smith Wilkey, Shirley Smith McArthur, Ruth Mary Roberts Mahnken, Companion, Linda Lussier, 1 Granddaughter, several nieces, and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his father, and brother Frederick Roberts Jr.
