Highway 1 Bridge 10 miles east of Redby closes June 3

THE PHOTOGRAPHS WITH THIS STORY WERE DONE IN ERROR AND ARE OF ANOTHER CONSTRUCTION PROJECT, THE REDBY DAM BRIDGE, WHICH IS SCHEDULED FOR REPLACEMENT SOMETIME SOON. RLNN APPOLOGIZES FOR THIS MISTAKE. THIS BRIDGE WILL CLOSE EITHER AT THE END OF THIS WEEK, OR NEXT WEEK.

Kelliher/Blackduck/Redby/Red Lake. – Motorists on Highway 1 east of Redby and west of Hwy 72/Hwy 1 intersection will encounter a detour beginning Monday, June 3, as crews remove and replace the bridge over the Blackduck River.THE ROAD WILL BE CLOSED to traffic. DETOURING is required.

The detour will follow Beltrami County Road 23 (Everts Road) south eight miles to County Road 32 (Nebish Road), then north eight miles on Highway 72. Completion is slated for the end of August.

REMINDER - we are having problems with motorists ignoring signs and workers- please pay attention and stay off these roads if possible and do not put the construction workers in danger.

Construction has begun on Co Rd 301 (Puposky Road NW) from Irvine Ave N (Co Rd 15) to Great Divide Rd NW (Co Rd 26) Construction began Monday May 20, 2013. The contractor will begin construction for grading and aggregate surfacing, construction will continue through most of the summer. The road will be closed, except for local traffic only. The county urges motorists to find alternate routes to avoid delays.

Construction has resumed on Co Rd 39 (Scenic Hwy SE) from Birchmont Beach Rd SE (Co Rd 20) to Turtle River Lk Rd SE (Co Rd 22). Construction began on Wednesday May 15, 2013. The contractor will begin construction for grading and bituminous surfacing, construction will continue through most of the summer. There has been a detour placed to guide motorists around the construction activity. The road has been closed to all except local traffic only. Beltrami County Highway Department urges motorists to use caution when traveling in and around all work zones. HUBBARD COUNTY:

Starting Monday, June 10, 2013 thru June 22, 2013, a section of 279th Avenue (South Steamboat Road) will be closed to thru traffic for maintenance activity with the work area located between US Highway 2 and County Road 9. Enbridge Pipelines (Lakehead) and its agents will be performing the work and will utilize appropriate signage and flaggers as needed.

Highway 200 detour near Laporte begins May 28

Highway 200 from Highway 64 to Hubbard County Road 39 in Laporte will encounter a detour and possible delays beginning Tuesday, May 28, weather permitting. During the road construction portion of the project, Highway 200 will close and motorists will use a detour. The detour follows County Road 16 or County Road 36 to County Road 45 and County Road 39.

POLK COUNTY, traveling west and north:

Detour and lane closures planned on Highways near Crookston, East Grand Forks and Halstad

Concrete repair work scheduled for Highways 2, 200, 220

BEMIDJI, Minn. – Motorists will encounter delays on three Northwestern Minnesota highways beginning Monday, June 3 as crews repair or replace the concrete surface. Work will occur first in Crookston, then East Grand Forks and Halstad in the following locations:

• Crookston- Highway 2 from Memorial Drive to Fairfax Avenue

• East Grand Forks- Highway 2 Westbound lanes from Seventh Avenue NE to the Kennedy Bridge

• East Grand Forks- Highway 2 Eastbound lanes from Kennedy Bridge to Highway 220 (Central Avenue NE)

• East Grand Forks- Highway 220 from the Highway 2 intersection to 23rd Street NW

• Halstad- Highway 200 from Highway 75 to the border with North Dakota

Highway 200 in Halstad will detour for up to two weeks in mid-July, weather permitting. The detour will follow Highway 75 to County Road 147 (First Street West). Highways 2 and 220 will be intermittently reduced to a single lane. The work and lane closures will be complete by late July, weather permitting.
