Rose Marie Gibbs-Kitto

Rose Marie Gibbs-Kitto, “Muni du makoos equay”, age 58, of Minneapolis Journeyed to the Spirit World on Thursday, May 23rd, 2013 at Hennepin County Medical Center.

She was born on May 2, 1955 in Chicago, Illinois the daughter of Samuel Kitto and Gertrude Oakgrove.

Rose graduated from The Red Lake High School and attended The Community College in Minneapolis.

She was a very loving, supportive wife, mother and grandmother. Rose spent a lot of time spoiling her grandchildren. She loved to listen to her oldies but goodies and loved to play her games on facebook for hours.

Survived by her husband: Myron L. Gibbs Sr .; daughters: Arlene Roberts-Gibbs and Angel Gibbs; sons: Robert Gibbs, Myron Gibbs Jr. and Kevin Gibbs; grandchildren: Corinna, Damian, Maria, “Baby Rose” Lyanna, Leah and Leon; brothers: John, Tom, Joe, Jim Robert and Elden; sisters: Betty Ann, Linda, Sandy, Evelyn and Julie; numerous nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends.

Preceded in death by her father: Samuel Kitto, brothers: Chuck, Howard and Sam-Sam.

Funeral services for Rose Marie (Gibbs) Kitto will be held on Sunday, June 2nd, 2013 at 2:00 P.M. at The Redby Community Center. The Spiritual Leader will be Allen Hardy. Interment will follow at Fox Point Family Cemetery one mile east of Redby.

All night wake will be held on Saturday, June 1st P.M. beginning at 2:00 P.M. at The Redby Community Center.

Honorary Casket Bearers will be Arlene, Angel, Corrina, Gertrude RedEagle, Janice Oakgrove and Carol Stillday.

Casket Bearers will be Robert Gibbs, Jim RedEagle, Damian Brown, Joseph Northbird, Paul Thomhill, Tom Johnson, J.R. RedEagle and Devin Clark.
