Arlene Marie Whitebird

Arlene Marie Whitebird, 48, of Cass Lake, MN, passed away on Sunday, May 26, 2013 at the Sanford Hospital in Fargo.

She was born on January 21, 1965 in Mission/Cass Lake Area the daughter of Leroy Whitebird, Sr. and Elizabeth (Littlewolf) Whitebird.

She was preceded in death by her father, grandparents William and Sarah Whitebird, Catherine and Joseph Littlewolf, husband; Alfred Lindgren, brothers; David and Darwin Whitebird, sisters; Shirley and Betty Whitebird, special niece and nephew she helped to raise Deanna White and William Whitebird.

Arlene is survived by her daughter Fawn Whitebird, mother Elizabeth Whitebird, brothers; Leroy “Puff” Whitebird, Jr. and Eugene “Ribs” Whitebird, sister; Beverly (Ed), nieces Adrienne Dalton, Kierra Whitebird, Drisauna Swanson and Kenya Longtin. Other relatives and many friends.

She was a provider for special nieces Rosalie and her children, Cheryl Whitebird and her children, and a nephew Stanley Spottedcalf.

A wake service for Arlene will begin at 5:00 Wednesday, May 29 at the Vets Building and continue until we move from the Vets building on Friday at 10:00 a.m. to St. Peter’s Episcopal Church in Cass Lake for the service. Rev. John Rock, Rev. George Ross and Rev. Mark R. Olson will officiate.

Pallbearers will be: Stanley Spottedcalf, John Fisherman, Eugene "Ribs" Whitebird, Kyle Whitebird, Kevin Kingbird, Ed Dalton and David Whitebird Wuori. Alternate pallbearers are Leroy "Puff" Whitebird and Corey Wuori. Honorary Pallbearers will be: Becky and Connie Littlewolf, Lisa and Linda Fisherman, Hannah and Heather Dalton, Rosie White, Shirley Laduke, Nancy Whitebird, Jordan Butcher, Kelli Taylor, Cheryl Whitebird, Bernice Pemberton, Paula LaRose, Robin Williams and Carol Blue.
