Chickasaw Nation Extends Deadline for Young Chickasaw Artists

May 24 is the new deadline to submit photographs for display in the new Chickasaw Nation Visitor’s Center in Sulphur, Okla.

Selected photographs will be displayed at the center in an exhibit entitled “The Natural Beauty of the Chickasaw Nation.”

The call is open to Chickasaw photographers, ages 13-17. Photographers will be awarded $250 for each piece selected.

Photographs must be original, staying within the nature theme and shot within the 13 counties of the Chickasaw Nation.

Artist must be a Chickasaw citizen to be eligible.
