PGATOUR.COM's New Feature Provides Unique Behind-the-Scenes Look at NCAA Golf Championship Contender Washington Husk
PONTE VEDRA BEACH, Fla. (May 21, 2013) – Expanding its focus on providing innovative new content for golf fans, PGATOUR.com delves into the collegiate ranks to provide a unique glimpse at the University of Washington men’s golf team as it prepares for the NCAA Championship through a series of short episodes, beginning May 22.
PGATOUR.COM Presents: Everyday. Washington Huskies gains behind-the-scenes access to the highly ranked Huskies as they begin the quest for their first NCAA golf title. The tournament begins on May 28 at the Capital City Club in Atlanta, GA. The Huskies feature the top-ranked amateur in the world and winner of the 2013 Ben Hogan Award for collegiate player of the year, Chris Williams, as well as Cheng-Tsung Pan, individual winner of last week’s NCAA Regional tournament in Tallahassee. The Huskies qualified for the NCAA Championship by finishing runner-up to North Florida in their region.
PGA TOUR Entertainment will follow the team’s tournament preparation under Coach Matt Thurmond in and around the University of Washington campus in Seattle, and on the road at Regionals and the NCAA Championship. Features include interviews with Thurmond and the players and practice and conditioning sessions leading up to the Finals in Georgia.
Features will be presented in three- to six-minute segments that will continue to be posted on PGATOUR.com and the PGA TOUR YouTube channel as the Huskies make their championship run.
