Bemidji Police pull body from Lake Irving

On May 16th, 2013 the Bemidji Police Department partnered with the Minnesota State Patrol to perform a follow-up aerial search for the body of Matthew Pulis who went missing in October of 2012. The search area focused on the lakes and grassy areas that border the west edge of the city. During that search an object was spotted in the water approximately 100 yards of shore in the northwest corner of Lake Irving.

At approximately 2:00 pm the Bemidji Police Department recovered the body of an adult male from the waters of Lake Irving.

The body will be sent to the Ramsey County Medical Examiner for positive identification as well as a determination of cause and manner of death.

The Bemidji Police Department was assisted by the Bemidji Fire Department, Beltrami County Sheriff’s Office and the Minnesota State Patrol.
