Samuel H. Roberts

Samuel H. Roberts, age 71, Minneapolis, journeyed to the spirit world on May 6, 2013 in St. Anthony. Funeral service on Monday, May 13, 2013 at 12:00 PM at Gichitwa Kateri Church, 3045 Park Ave., Minneapolis. All night wakes Saturday& Sunday beginning at 7 PM at Gichitwa Kateri Church. Interment Fort Snelling National Cemetery, Fort Snelling, Minnesota.

Sam was born on August 28, 1941 to Lawrence & Florence (Riley) Roberts Sr. in Ponsford, MN. He proudly served in the US Army from September of 1959 to October of 1962. Sam worked as a mover for Woodland Transfer in Richfield, MN.

Preceded in death by his parents, brothers, Lyman & Joe, sisters, Charlotte, MaryLou & Berna, grandsons, Christopher, Lucio Deon & Josh.

Sam is survived by his sons, Kevin Clark, Samuel Ortley, Greg (Amber) Blue; daughters, Nancy (Arturo) Navarro, Lisa (Kevin) Bruce, Jackie Blue, Stephanie Ortley-Sanchez, Jaime Russette, one daughter in Hawaii; 21 grandchildren & 11 great-grandchildren; brother, Lawrence Roberts Jr.; sisters, Ruth Driggers & Evangeline (Mike) Beaulieu.
