Job Fair held in Red Lake - P2

Red Lake Builders and Woodstone Builders, working jointly as Red Lake Woodstone Builders, held a Job Fair on Tuesday, April 30, 2013. The event took place between 2:00 PM and 4:00 PM at the Seven Clans Casino Events Center in Red Lake.

There were 74 participants that came to the Job Fair, and with the assistance of Jerry Loud, Director of the TERO (Tribal Employment Rights Ordinance) Department, they presented information on possible construction jobs for the new Seven Clans Casino in Warroad.

With an employment pool of 150 Red Lake Tribal members already in the TERO Program system, there is a possibility that 50 new jobs will be created for this project.

The new casino will be built just across the river from their current location, which is a casino only. The new, casino-hotel will feature a floor with 600 slot machines, a 60 room hotel, meeting and convention rooms and more.

Groundbreaking began in October 2012, with preliminary construction already initiated in March 2013. The completion of the project is scheduled for April of 2014.
