Fish House restaurant and Market set to open

BEMIDJI – A new restaurant is expected to open on the south end of Bemidji next month.

The Marvelous Fish House and Market is slated to open May 16 at the site of the former El Mariachi, 801 Washington Ave. S.

It will be a casual-dining fish restaurant and its “menu with a splash” will specialize in walleye and feature the Red lake Walleye Sandwich, stated owner Marvin Hanson in a Friday afternoon press release.

“This will be no ordinary casual dining facility and market as all native fish and wild rice will come from the Red Lake Band of Chippewa Indians, as well as all produces produced and sold,” he said.

The menu will include fried fish, broiled fish, lobster, shrimp and crab legs.

Catering will be available as well.
