Frank Curtis Ortley

Frank Curtis Ortley, 65, of Cass Lake, MN, passed away on Saturday, April 13, 2013 at the Sanford Hospital in Fargo, ND. He was born on September 11, 1947 in White Earth, Minnesota the son of Stephen and Iona (Bassett) Ortley.

Frank was preceded in death by his parents; Stephen and Iona, sister; Leona, brother; David and infant brother; Thomas.

He is survived by his wife Joanne Ortley of Cass Lake, sons; Frank Ortley, Jr. of Oregon and Joel Ortley of Cass Lake, daughters; Anne Ortley of Cass Lake, Teresa (Derek Fairbanks) Ortley of Cass Lake, Jolanda Deane Ortley of Minneapolis, Jessie Sagataw of Michigan and Michelle Ortley of Cass Lake, brother; Stephen Ortley, Jr., step brothers; Larry Roberts of Mahnomen and Sam Roberts of Minneapolis, sisters; Charlotte (Frank) Elias of Houston, TX, Florence Eischens of Pine Point, MN, Mary Ortley of Mahnomen, Louise Westbrook of Minneapolis and Roberta Ortley, 5 granddaughters, 10 grandsons, 2 great granddaughters and 7 great grandsons, 1 great grandchild on the way, numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.

A traditional wake service for Frank will begin at 5:00 p.m. on Sunday, April 14, 2013 and will continue until the 11:00 a.m. service on Tuesday all at the Old Pine Point School in Ponsford, MN. Spiritual leader will be Allen Hardy. Pallbearers will be David Eischens, Sam Ortley, Eugene Eischens, Jr., Jerry Adams, Juan Vasquez and Marlon White. Alternate pallbearers will be James Ortley and Tim Bloom. Honorary pallbearers will be Curtis Ortley, Vicente Cerda Romo, Bryant Cooper, Jonathan Weyaus, Darian Weyaus and Gabriel Ortley. Interment will be held in the St. Theodore Catholic Cemetery at Ponsford, MN.
