Serenity Seaboy

Serenity Storm Seaboy, age 14 months, of Watertown, South Dakota Journeyed to the Spirit World on Friday, March 15, 2013.

She was born on January 31, 2012 in Watertown, South Dakota the daughter of Wambdi Sapa Seboy and Sherry Lynn Scherer.

In addition to her parents, Serenity is survived by a brother: Jayson R. Moore; grandparents: Shirley Scherer of Custer, South Dakota, LouAnne Thelts of Peever and Dayton (Michelle) Seaboy of Sisseton; an aunt: Leslie Scherer; and cousins: Mindi Lynn Quicke, Kearstyn Lee Juliano and Ethan James Lawrence; an aunt: Kathy Scherer; an uncle: Robert Scherer; and cousins: Maegan Scherer, Taylor Scherer and Kimberlee Scherer; an aunt: Traci Seaboy-Fanning; and cousins: Ethan W. Seaboy, Brianne L. Seaboy, T. Troy Aguirre Jr., Storm A. Aguirre and Xavier D. Aguirre; an aunt: Viva Seaboy-DuBois; and cousins: Victoria R. DuBois and Maka Inahtaka DuBois; an uncle: Ian Seaboy; adopted aunt: Cassandra Kohl; and cousins: Javian G. Kohl and Jenae Shepherd; many other relatives and friends.

Preceded in death by her maternal grandfather: Robert Scherer, an aunt: Tina Scherer, great paternal grandparents: Didymus & Florence Seaboy and Kunsis Exzilda Seaboy.

Serenity was the fifth generation of Inkpa Duda.

Funeral services for Serenity Storm Seaboy will be held on Wednesday, March 20th at 10:00 A.M. at Big Coulee District Center. Ivan Sorbel and Danny Seaboy will be the Spiritual Leaders. Interment will follow at Ascension Presbyterian Cemetery.

“Wahpe Kute” and “Eagle Mountain” will be the Drum Groups.

All night wake was held on Saturday evening, March 16th at The Dayton Seaboy residence.

Further all night wakes will be held on Sunday, March 17th, Monday, March 18th and Tuesday, March 19th beginning at 7:00 P.M. at The Big Coulee District Center.

Honorary Casket Bearers will be Jayson Moore, Leslie Scherer, Kathy Scherer, Traci Fanning, Viva DuBois and Cassandra Kohl.

Casket Bearers will be Floyd Cloud, Tyson Seaboy and Robert Scherer.
