Enrollment for Playworks Summer Camp Now Open

Let Your Child “Come Explore With Us”

Prior Lake, MN – Playworks, a one-of-a-kind, world-class education and childcare facility for area children has opened enrollment for their summer camp, a one-of-a-kind recreational day camp for children. As always, Playworks Summer Camp is open to the public for children entering first through sixth grade. Campers are divided into three groups. Early Explorers are 1st and 2nd graders. Explorers are 3rd and 4th graders. Advanced Explorers are 5th and 6th graders.

With a theme of “Come Explore With Us,” Playworks Summer Camp 2013 will be a fun program filled with a variety of activities like arts and crafts, science and nature, outdoor games, and more. Exciting field trips will take campers to beaches, pools, parks, and amusement parks. Swimming, ice-skating, and basketball next door at Dakotah! Sport and Fitness will keep campers active all summer long. Playtime in the Atrium featuring the area’s largest indoor playstructure, interactive games, computer games, NEOS, arcade games, and so much more will round out an active, educational summer.

Enroll by March 29, 2013, and the registration fee is free, a $65 value.

New for 2013, Morning Endeavors and Afternoon Adventures will add to the summer camp experience. Morning Endeavors will have children working on special projects, learning new skills and challenging themselves to accomplish new things. Afternoon Adventures begin when the children return from field trips. Children will participate in adventures like Artful Antics, Treasure Hunting, Island Explorers, Mad Scientists, and World Travelers.

Playworks Summer Camp 2013 runs Monday through Friday from June 10 – August 30, 2013, from 6:30 a.m. – 7:00 p.m .; Saturday and Sunday from 9:00 a.m. – 7:00 p.m. Campers may choose to attend full-time or part-time. Rates include all fieldtrips, special guests, projects, meals, and picnic lunches.
