Globe University and Minnesota School of Business to Award 10 Youth Frontiers High School Retreats to Students in Minnesota

MINNEAPOLIS—December 6, 2012—Globe University and the Minnesota School of Business (MSB) will award 10 Youth Frontiers Responsibility and Wisdom retreats to 11th and 12th graders from high schools throughout Minnesota. High schools across Minnesota are eligible to apply for either the 11th- or 12th-grade retreat, funded entirely by Globe University and MSB. The application deadline is the end of December.

The Youth Frontiers Retreats

Youth Frontiers' Responsibility retreat inspires juniors to set the tone for a positive school environment for their senior year. Students acknowledge and accept their “ability to respond” and examine how their daily choices impact their classmates, teachers and the greater school community.

Youth Frontiers' Wisdom retreat gives seniors healthy closure to their high school years and inspires them to finish the school year in a respectful and caring manner. Students gain critical perspective on their high school experiences so they can move forward with wisdom and character.

We Care

“We have been longtime supporters of Youth Frontiers’ because their mission aligns with what we believe at our organization,” said Mindy Myhre, director of charitable giving for the network of career colleges. Myhre explained that “We Care” is the principal philosophy at the private sector schools.

“We Care guides everything we do from academics to scholarships to community partnerships to ensure that student needs are always first and foremost,” said Myhre. Globe’s network of career schools gives $10 million annually to students in the form of grants and scholarships, for example.
