In 2010 29.6% of children were living in poverty in Beltrami County compared to 15% statewide*
More than 50% of adult food shelf visitors are employed. 65% make less than $1,000 per month, not enough to cover their basic needs. From January—June of 2012 the Food Shelf served 14,431 people - up 12% from 2011
In Beltrami County 1,122 renter households pay AT LEAST HALF of their income for housing—a level considered severely unaffordable.
