American Indian Adult Tobacco Survey to be Conducted in Red Lake

Dear Red Lake Community Members:

The American Indian Adult Tobacco Survey (TTUP) is being conducted on reservations throughout Minnesota. The goal of TTUP is to engage tribes and the urban American Indian communities across the state of Minnesota in monitoring attitudes, behaviors, and beliefs related to tobacco use among tribal members.

We are working with the American Indian Community Tobacco Projects, a partnership between the University of Minnesota and the American Indian Policy Center, to do TTUP here at Red Lake Nation.

Names were randomly selected to get a letter. We wanted to inform people of this opportunity. We will never release your name or other information without your permission. If you want to do this survey, you have to come to one of the community times listed below.

Only people who get this letter can take part. The first 500 people to do an interview will get a $20 Walmart gift card. We need both smokers and non-smokers to take part. YOU HAVE TO BRING THE LETTER TO ONE OF THE COMMUNITY TIMES LISTED BELOW.

How do I participate in the survey?

1. The survey has to be done in person and cannot be done by phone.

2. At the end of the 30-minute survey, you will receive a $20 Walmart gift card.

3. YOU NEED TO BRING THE LETTER THAT WAS MAILED TO YOU TO TAKE THE SURVEY
