Effective Oct. 1, 2012 - Diabetes Testing Strips Available Through Pharmacy

Strips are back in Pharmacy.

Effective October 1, 2012, diabetic testing strips will be available as a prescription item through Red Lake Pharmacy. This will mean that you will no longer be able to go to nursing, a diabetes educator, or CHT to get your strips.

So what do I do?

When you need a new box of test strips, please call the pharmacy to speak with a pharmacist. They will ask you some simple questions about how often you test. This information will be used to process your prescription in a timely manner. After that first interview, your strips will be labeled (just as your lancets and other supplies) and can be requested as a normal refill.
