Mix Arrested in Fuel Theft Case

In August of 2012, the Beltrami County Sheriff's Office and members of the MN Bureau of Criminal Apprehension began investigating the theft of large quantities of diesel fuel from local companies in and around the city of Bemidji and Beltrami County area.

On Sunday evening, September 23, 2012, David Lee Kiser of Bemidji was apprehended by law enforcement for the theft of over 250 gallons of diesel fuel from a local business. At the time of this report, Paul Anthony Mix of rural Bemidji had not been apprehended.

Yesterday, Wednesday, September 26, 2012, Paul Anthony Mix was arrested in Fargo, ND by the MN Bureau of Criminal Apprehension (BCA) and the Fargo Police Department . He is currently in custody, awaiting extradition,

in the Cass County Jail on charges of aiding and abetting felony theft.

The Beltrami County Sheriff's Office appreciates the combined efforts of the media and an alert citizen in the Fargo/Moorhead area.
