Arrest in Fuel Theft Case

In August of 2012, the Beltrami County Sheriff’s Office and members of the MN Bureau of Criminal Apprehension began investigating the theft of large quantities of diesel fuel from local companies in and around the city of Bemidji and Beltrami County area.

On Sunday evening, September 23, 2012, David Lee Keiser of Bemidji was apprehended by law enforcement for the theft of over 250 gallons of diesel fuel from a local business. At the time of this report, Paul Anthony Mix of rural Bemidji another suspect in this case, has not been apprehended.

The Beltrami County Sheriff’s Office and the MN Bureau of Criminal Apprehension is seeking the assistance from the public in locating Paul Anthony Mix. If any citizen has information on Paul Mix’s whereabouts please contact the Beltrami County Sheriff’s Office at 218-333-9111. This case is currently being investigated by the Beltrami County Sheriff’s Office, MN Bureau of Criminal Apprehension and the Headwaters Safe Trails Task Force.
