CRITICAL FIRE CONDITIONS

Just a reminder to our citizens and those traveling through our area- with the wind, low humidity and dry conditions in our county it is imperative that all citizens take precautions. Remember that a catalytic converter in dry weeds, a cigarette thrown carelessly out of a vehicle, a burn barrel, a campfire, an ATV or OHV with a hot muffler or sparks from any source can immediately start a fire which could turn into a deadly occurrence in a short time.

Critical fire conditions are in place. Think about the horrific fires in Colorado and California and then consider what would happen if a fire whipped through all the downed trees that we have in our county. Death and destruction could easily occur. Please use caution. If you see smoke, determine where it is coming from and call 911 with your quality information and location.

Emergency services are on high alert during these conditions.
