Flu vaccine for the 2012-13 influenza season has arrived!!

Everyone 6 months of age and older should get a yearly vaccine. Right now, there is very little seasonal flu activity. Flu season usually begins in October and can last through May. Get vaccinated before flu season starts.

High risk patients are a great concern for serious complications from flu.

High risk patients

• Pregnant women

• Children younger than 5

• People 50 years of age & older

• People of any age with certain chronic medical conditions (asthma, diabetes, etc.)

• People who live in long-term care facilities

• People who live or care for those at high risk for complications from flu (including health care workers)
