Laurel Allison Stewart

Laurel Stewart, 52, of Debs, MN, died Saturday, August 25, 2012 at her home.

Funeral Services will be 11:00 am Thursday, August 30, 2012 at the Cease Family Funeral Home in Bemidji, MN. Visitation will be from 5-8:00pm, Wednesday, August 29, 2012 at the Cease Family Funeral Home and one hour prior to the service.

She was born on June 8, 1960, in Minneapolis, MN, the daughter of Marlin and Muriel (Hart) Stewart. She was raised and educated in St. Paul, MN, graduating from Humboldt High School in 1978. At the age of 18 she moved to Minneapolis, attending Barber school and working as a Barber until 1986. She began work as a caregiver to the developmentally disabled and also hospice care. She moved to Debs, MN in 2007. She was an avid reader, also enjoying surfing on the internet, redecorating the house, spending time on the lake, listening to music, and was an excellent cook. She was a beautiful person inside and out. She was incredibly kind to all those around her.

She is survived by: Mother, Muriel Stewart of Debs, MN, Father, Marlin Stewart of Shoreview, MN, Sister, Molly (Eric Hackett) Stewart of Minneapolis, MN, Brothers, Jay Stewart of Eden Prairie, MN, Darrin (Kristin) Stewart of Minneapolis, MN, Maternal Grandmother, Dora Hart of Red Lake, MN, Fiancé, Cory Jackson of Debs, MN, Niece, Daisy Hackett, Nephew, Max Hackett, Several Aunts, Uncles, and Cousins.

She was preceded in death by her paternal grandparents, maternal grandfather, several uncles and one aunt.
