George King Jr.

George Adolph King Jr., age 56 of Virginia, Minnesota Journeyed to the Spirit World on Friday, August 17, 2012 at his residence.

He was born on December 4, 1955 in Red Lake, Minnesota the son of George King Sr. and Mary Northrup King.

George was certified as a carpenter and welder.

He loved his dog “Sami” and taking her for walks, listening to music and spending time with family and friends. He loved to cook. He also liked going to casinos and playing the lottery.

Survived by his father: George King Sr .; Sons: Wesley King and Rick Johann; a daughter: Emma “Jean” King; six grandchildren; sisters: Beverly King, Annette King, Norma Teague and Cindy King; brother: Michael King, many other relatives and friends.

Preceded in death by his mother: Mary Louise King, a brother: Darryl King, paternal grandparents: William & Emma (Barrett) King, maternal grandparents John & Louise (Prentice) Northrup.

Funeral services for George A. King Jr. will be held on Wednesday, August 22nd at 2:00 P.M. at St. Mary’s Catholic Church. Father Jerry Rogers will officiate. Interment will be held at St. Mary’s Catholic Cemetery.

An all night wake will be held on Tuesday, August 21st beginning at 11:00 A.M. at The Red Lake Community Center with a prayer service at 7:00 P.M.

Honorary Casket Bearers will be Brian King, Robert King Jr. Georgina King, Lila St. Germaine, Kelli St. Germaine, Teanna Pemberton, Ollie Beaulieu and Jasmine Teague.

Casket Bearers will be Doug Needham Jr., Bob Needham, Jim Needham, Rick Needham, Paul King Jr., Jim King, Mark Vinge, James King Jr., Alden Beaulieu Jr., Donald “Ducker” Kelly, Curtis Iceman, Clyde Graves, Harold Graves and Clyde Neadeau.
