Vizenor, Bevins take White Earth oaths

MAHNOMEN – White Earth Nation Chairwoman Erma J. Vizenor and District III Representative Kenneth “Gus” Bevins were administered the Oath of Office during the White Earth Nation Tribal Government Inauguration Friday at the Shooting Star Casino and Event Center.

Magistrate Judge Leo I. Brisbois administered the oath to Vizenor, while Bevins was administered the oath by former White Earth Nation Secretary-Treasurer Franklin “Bud” Heisler.

This is Vizenor’s third four-year term as Chairwoman, and Bevins’ fourth four-year term.
