RED LAKE - Nine Red Lake students out of 24 that started, completed the first Red Lake Entrepreneur Program class on Monday, June 18, 2012.
The students were:

Mishaun Neadeau
Raymond Drouillard
Their training consisted of ten weeks of learning what is needed to start and manage a business, along with learning how to research and develop a business plan.
Each student completing the class received a Certificate of Completion.
The first six listed also provided a presentation on the business venture they are pursuing.
Their next steps include completing their business plan and capturing the needed financing to start their business. The Entrepreneur Program will continue to work with them through this process, and will remain as an advisor and coach once they open their business.
The next business training class is scheduled to start in October, 2012. The Red Lake Entrepreneur Program is under the Red Lake Economic Development and Planning Program, with the sole purpose of creating an entrepreneurial environment that will successfully attract, develop and support Band member owned businesses by providing business education, technical assistance, financing and commercial facilities.
These services are available to all Red Lake enrollees, with financing made available to those who locate their business on the reservation.
