Stabbing report leads to arrest

BEMIDJI – A 37-year-old Bemidji man is in custody following a reported stabbing early Monday morning.

Kevin Lee Lumbar, 37, is in Beltrami County Jail on suspicion of second-degree assault.

Lee was arrested after Bemidji police officers received a call at 4:30 a.m. Monday on the 400 block of 15th Street Northwest.

Initial reports said a female had been stabbed inside an apartment above Dave’s Pizza, according to a police report.

A male and female were transported to the emergency room follow officers’ response, according to the police report.
