Two new Bemidji police officers sworn in
BEMIDJI — Officers Robert Brogren and Jade Hayft were sworn in June 7 as police officers for the city of Bemidji.
They will fill positions re-established in 2011 after they were eliminated through attrition in 2010.
Brogren and Hayft will undergo a 14-week field training program. The program is designed to teach new officers the geography of the city, policy and procedures specific to the city of Bemidji and related technology. It also provides an opportunity to immerse them into the law enforcement career in a more controlled environment while providing a method for evaluation.
