Counterfeit money being circulated in Bemidji area

Editor's Note: If counterfeit bills are being found in Bemidji, Red Lake and Cass Lake should also be on the lookout for such items, as well.

BEMIDJI – Area businesses are being warned to be on the lookout for counterfeit cash.

The Bemidji Police Department has received numerous reports of counterfeit $20, $50 and $100 bills being passed in the area since the first part of May.

Businesses are asked to be watchful and report any monies that appear fraudulent immediately to the Police Department by calling Dispatch at 333-9111.
