2: Describe:

A) What is an Integrated Resources Management Plan (IRMP)?

A plan that defines how the various & diverse resource managers and users cooperate to preserve Tribal resources from loss, damage, waste or depletion, for the benefit of the Red Lake Nation Members as a whole.

B) Why: Tribal Council Res #37-11

C) Who participates? ALL Tribal resources programs & users. 1) The Tribal Council, 2) Tribal Programs, 3) Tribal Members

D) How? Member & Program input from discussions & surveys

E) Where? On & off Reservation Tribal Members

1) COMMUNITY IDEAS from Meetings & mailings

a. Every Tribal Member will be surveyed.

b. We need to know what should be asked ?

2: The IRMP Committee has or will get participation from all Tribal Departments that ought to be involved.

2000 & 2011 IRMPs : Department of Natural Resources (DNR) Water & Wetlands - Fisheries - Environmental (pollution monitoring/control) - Forestry & Wildland Fire - Wildlife - Culture / Archaeology: mentioned but no follow through (done by Roads and the DNR)

Tribal Member meetings and mail surveys (not even 6% responded)

2015 IRMP :

Department of Natural Resources Culture / Archaeology: by?? - Planning & Economic Development - Roads (Engineering) - Housing Authority(Planned Subdivisions) - Realty (Individual Housing Allotments) - Hospital (Public Health, Sanitation, Emergency Planning) Public Safety (Fire, Police, Conservation Officers) Legal Department & Courts

Schools --- Tribal College

OTHER : tribal entities, agencies, people to include ?

Tribal Members : Your ideas for the new survey : concerns, questions – what resource issues need to be addressed on the Red Lake Reservation. Your ideas will be used to make: Test questionnaire(s) will be made & tried out, then All Band members will receive the final version of the survey. The results will be used to guide the making of the 2015 IRMP.
