Twins game Recovery Month Event - Friday, September 7, 2012

Recovery Month provides a platform to recognize all in recovery

In Minnesota, a Twins game Recovery Month event has been held for the past 12 years. This Recovery Month event is one of the largest fan groups at a Twins game each year.

This year's event, presented by MRC and the Recovery Works! Committee, will be on Friday, September 7, 2012 and promises to be an even bigger and more visible event!

• Over 1,700 seats are reserved in our prominent "Rally" sections (329-334) of Target Field.

• Patrice Salmeri, the Director of The StepUP Program at Augsburg College, will be sharing how baseball played a role in her recovery and throwing out the First Pitch!

• OutLoud! The twelve-man ensemble of Twin Cities Gay Men’s Chorus will be singing the National Anthem!

• Representatives of the Recovery Community will be singing the 7th Inning Stretch's "Take Me Out to the Ballgame."

• Tickets must be purchased by August 10th (but may be sold out sooner).

Recovery Month provides a platform to recognize all in recovery including family, friends and the professionals who serve them. Individuals in recovery often go unnoticed by the broader population; therefore, Recovery Month provides a vehicle to celebrate and express gratitude for recovery with neighbors, friends, and colleagues. The observance also encourages citizens to take action to help expand and improve the availability of effective treatment for those in need.

Don't delay, tickets are first-come, first-served and will go fast! Deadline for individual, group and sponsorship orders is August 10, 2012. You can order your tickets online here: Rally (Caps) for Recovery Tickets

If you would like to purchase tickets for a group of 50 or more, or to purchase individual or group tickets by check, or if you require wheelchair accessible seating, please make arrangements with Julia Parnell at 651-233-2080 or
