Saint Paul, Minn.—Minnesota Philanthropy Partners is pleased to announce that Jeremy Wells has been named vice president, philanthropic services. He will join MN Partners on June 1, 2012.

In this role, Wells will lead the fundraising and donor services work for the more than 1,600 affiliates of Minnesota Philanthropy Partners, with a primary focus on The Saint Paul Foundation and Minnesota Community Foundation.

“Jeremy has an ideal set of skills to excel in this role. He brings with him more than 12 years of successful leadership in fundraising and donor engagement programs,” says Carleen Rhodes, CEO and president of MN Partners. “We are thrilled that he has decided to join us.”

Wells joins MN Partners after five years as the vice president for institutional advancement at Augsburg College. “Jeremy will be deeply missed at Augsburg. We are pleased that in his new role he will continue to make an extraordinary impact in the communities he serves,” says Dr. Paul Pribbenow, president of Augsburg College. “Minnesota Philanthropy Partners is incredibly fortunate to have Jeremy joining its team.”

Prior to joining Augsburg, Wells served as vice president for development and alumni relations at Saint Mary’s University of Minnesota. Immediately before his years at Saint Mary’s, Wells served in several fundraising roles at his alma mater, Jamestown College, in Jamestown, North Dakota. Wells received his Bachelor of Arts in psychology and in religion and philosophy, at Jamestown College. He received his Master of Arts degree in philanthropy and development from Saint Mary’s University of Minnesota. Wells also is a certified fund raising executive.

“I am honored to build upon the strong philanthropic tradition for which The Saint Paul Foundation and Minnesota Community Foundation are known. I look forward to working with donors to create meaningful and lasting impact in communities across Minnesota,” says Wells.
