Red Lake’s McNeal, Beaulieu could challenge for state berths

RED LAKE – The Warriors captured the conference championship last year but the loss of three seniors will make repeating a difficult chore.

Individually, however, Red Lake should have success.

“I do think senior Rob McNeal and junior Corey Beaulieu have good chances of making it to state,” said Warriors coach Brad Castle. “This would be Corey’s second trip to state as he made it last year as a sophomore.”

Castle also believes that the program is on solid ground as many younger players are participating in the feeder programs.

“We do have good numbers at the junior high level so in a few years we should be contending again,” Castle said.
