Gregory "Greg" Paquin

Gregory Wayne Paquin was born on July 8, 1962 in St. Paul, MN. He journeyed into the Spirit World on April 6, 2012 in Port Hope Township, MN.

Greg was raised in Michigan and Minnesota. He attended school in Mpls. He served in the armed forces as a Military Police. He began his vocational education with St. Pal Vo-Tech and Dunwoody Institute. Joined the Mpls. Pipefitters Local 539. He received his journeyman status after completing his apprenticeship program and education. He started his own business Thunderbird and Sons and did various projects around the tri-state area. He was active in AA with 15 ½ years of sobriety. He was a long time advocate of civil and union rights of Native Americans. He established Warriors for Justice and also the Native American Labor union 12. He ran for State Senate 4. He married Kathryn Bourgoin in 2011. He enjoyed the outdoors especially fishing and hunting. He liked building and creating and was process of building his own home. He was very interested in old Native American history and culture. He was a very helpful and a giving individual. He loved spending time with his family and friends.

He is survived by his wife, his mother, Barbara Paquin of Bemidji, MN, his brother David Paquin Jr. (Stacey) of St. Paul, MN, his sisters Michelle Paquin Johnson (Ernest) of Red Lake, MN, Elaine Paquin of Shoreview, MN, his children, Gregory Wood, Markus Wood, Joseph Wood, Meranda Wood, his nieces and nephew.

He was preceded in death by his father David Paquin Sr., his maternal grandparents, Ernest and Angeline Northbird, his paternal grandparents, William and Agnes Paquin.
