Unofficial Leech Lake Primary Results of April 3, 2012

According to postings on Facebook, unofficial results of the Leech Lake Tribal Primary Elections report Arthur “Archie” LaRose and Carri Jones will square off for Leech Lake Chairman in the General Election set for June 12, 2012.

LaRose came in first with 800 votes, followed by Carri Jones with 506 and Roger Aitken 349.

District III Representative primary results found Whitebird receiving 532 votes, Leroy Staples-Fairbanks III 472 and Martin “Mutt” Robinson 94.

Whitebird and Fairbanks will square off for the District III Representative seat in the General Election.

These results are “unofficial” until certified by Leech Lake authorities, which should be later today.
