CASS LAKE – A 17-year-old pedestrian is hospitalized in critical condition after being struck by a car northwest of here Wednesday night.
The Minnesota State Patrol said the pedestrian was in the northbound lane of County Road 75 when a 2002 Ford Taurus struck the teen.
The patrol received a call about the incident at 9:18 p.m.
The Taurus, driven by Sharon Northbird of Cass Lake, was traveling north on the road, about 2½ miles north of Cass Lake.
Northbird, 43, did not appear to have injuries, according to the State Patrol.
The pedestrian, who was not identified, was airlifted to a Fargo, N.D., hospital.
No other details were immediately available.
