POSITION OBJECTIVES:

Under the general supervision of the Outfitters Guide Manager is responsible to assist with overseeing outfitters & guide functions for Seven Clans Casinos.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Ability to operate boat-motor trailer.

• Responsible for the safety of the party; must know how to administer first aid, CPR and be prepared to handle emergencies.

• Responsible for the maintenance of boats, motors, trolling motors and fishing equipment.

• Technological knowledge and use of GPS.

• Adheres to all boat and water safety rules and regulations.

• Familiar with the territory in which they work, Outdoor guide leads groups on recreational outing activities.

• Able to effectively work alone and/or with others under limited supervision.

• Guide often specializes in their own areas of interest, organizing fishing expeditions.

• Understands the habits of the wildlife within the local area.

• Outdoor guides must follow good conservation practices. The Red Lake Band of Chippewa Indians has laws about hunting and fishing that guides must know.

• Responsibility of the guide to explain these laws to the clients in their fishing party and make sure that they are obeyed.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

It is required the Outfitters Guide has a high school diploma, three or more years of extensive knowledge and experience with the outdoors. Must have a Driver’s license and CPR certified.
