Paul Bunyan Television Adds My29 and KSTC-45 in High Definition

Minnesota Boys State High School Hockey Tournament can be seen in HD this weekend

(Bemidji, MN) (March 7, 2012) – Paul Bunyan Communications has added My29, WFTC and KSTC-45 in high definition to PBTV HD service. Both are considered broadcast networks and only available to PBTV HD subscribers in Beltrami, Hubbard, and Cass county.

My29 HD, WFTC-Minneapolis is on PBTV channel 510 and includes great syndicated programming including the sitcoms, 30 Rock, Everybody Loves Raymond, The Simpsons Two and a Half Men, and the Big Bang Theory along dramas Cold Case, Law & Order SVU, and Without a Trace . My29 also carries a select number of Minnesota Timberwolves basketball games.

KSTC HD, KSTC-Minneapolis/St. Paul, is on PBTV channel 545. It is locally owned and operated by Hubbard Broadcasting, Inc. It is the only fully independent television station in the Twin Cities market. Home to Channel 45 Local News, KSTC is also the exclusive broadcast partner for the Emmy™ Award winning Minnesota State High School League Tournaments. You can also watch top rated syndicated programming including FRIENDS, King of Queens, and Seinfeld.

The channels will appear in the on-screen program guide within the next day or two but customers can reset their set top boxes and they should appear.

“It’s great timing for those who want to watch the Minnesota Boys State Hockey Tournament this weekend, now they can see it in high definition! Of course there is other great programming on both networks throughout the year and our customers will enjoy having them in HD.” said Brian Bissonette, Paul Bunyan Communications Marketing Supervisor.

PBTV HD is delivered in the widescreen 16:9 format that provides a picture with a resolution over ten times that of standard television and the 4:3 format. The service can be added to PBTV service for $9.95 per month. Consumers must have standard PBTV service to subscribe to PBTV HD service. $9.95 monthly charge for PBTV HD is an equipment fee, not a programming fee. PBTV HD subscribers will receive the HD channels of the digital channels they subscribe to. Additional subscription(s) may be required to receive all HD channels available. There is a one month minimum subscription required. Service availability depends upon location and some restrictions may apply.

Paul Bunyan Television now offers over 250 all digital networks, over 45 networks in high definition, PBTV On Demand, and Digital Video Recorder (DVR) service.
