Beltrami County Redby office closure

RE: Closure of the BCHHS office in Redby,MN

This is a public notice that the Beltrami County Health and Human Services Redby office will be permanently closing on Wednesday, March 14th, 2012. As of Monday, March 12, 2012 no appointments will be scheduled in the Redby office.

Over the past several months, we have worked to educate all of our customers on the process of applying for public assistance. This is a process that is governed by applicable state and federal laws and rules. Beltrami County is committed to providing services in accordance with these guidelines.

Recent legislative changes allow counties to conduct many mandatory interviews for public assistance via phone. Further, Electronic Benefit Transfer (EBT) cards are now able to be obtained through the mail. These changes, in addition to ongoing efforts to educate our customers will ease the adjustment of this office closure. In addition, face to face service remains available to all Beltrami County residents at the Bemidji Economic Assistance office located in the Community Services Center on 616 America Avenue, Suite 270.
