Kelly Marie Roy

Kelly Marie (Greene) Roy, (Binesiikwe – Thunderbird Woman) 37, of Red Lake entered the Spirit World Thursday, March 1, 2012 at her parents’ home in Blaine, MN.

Funeral Services will be 11:00 am Thursday, March 8, 2012 at the St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Red Lake, MN with Fr. Jerry Rogers officiating. A wake will begin at 2:00 pm, Tuesday, March 6, 2012 at the Red Lake Center in Red Lake and go until the time of service on Thursday. Interment will be at the St. Mary’s Catholic Cemetery in Red Lake, MN under the direction of the Cease Family Funeral Home of Bemidji.

Kelly was born April 13, 1974 to Kay (Desjarlait) and Glen Greene Sr. in Minneapolis, MN where she was raised until the age of 13 when she moved to Red Lake, MN with Kathy Cobenais and shortly after met her husband, William (Bill) Roy Jr. Kelly graduated from the Red Lake High School in 1992. She worked numerous jobs including Red Lake Casino, Red Lake IHS Hospital, Cass Lake IHS hospital, Personal Care Assistant and attended Northwest Technical College. She married her middle school sweetheart on April 7, 2001. Together they had three children Misty (Dana), Brian and Ahn’Draya Roy. One granddaughter, Rhianna May, who was her pride and joy. Kelly enjoyed taking pictures, listening to music, doing scrapbooks, decorating her house, baking, doing crafts and most of all she loved being with her family and teaching her granddaughter new things.

Sister in-laws, Mary Ann (Richard) Cook and Wilma (Tony) Roy-Mondragon. Brother in-laws, Roland & Jim Roy all of Red Lake • Several aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces & nephews • Granddaughter: Rhianna May • Special Great Niece: ShayeLeigh Sayers
