Photo ID amendment

Recovery Voices Count!

This Wednesday, February 15, the Senate Committee is going to vote on the Photo ID amendment.

The Photo ID amendment would restrict anyone without a current and correct state-issued photo ID from voting. This amendment could strip people in early recovery who live in transitional housing like halfway houses or sober homes of their voting rights.

If you are a member of the recovery community (an individual in recovery, or a friend, family member, or ally of a person in recovery), and you oppose this amendment, please show up at the State Capitol on Wednesday, February 15 at 12:30 pm to gather outside of room 112 with others who oppose this amendment.

Sincerely,

Nell Hurley

Executive Director

Minnesota Recovery Connection
