Regular consumption of 'spam' - a subsidized food for native Americans - doubles disease's incidence: study
Native Americans who often ate processed meat in a can - generically known as "spam" and a common government-subsidized food on reservations - were twice as likely to develop diabetes as those who ate little or none, according to a U.S. study.
